Wuppertal, August 6, 2019 - Riedel Networks has established a new point-of-presence (PoP) in Miami and signed a contract with Neutrona Networks for bandwidth expansion for the lines between Miami, New York and Sao Paulo. The completion of the so-called Miami Triangle project will result in a number of benefits for Riedel Networks and its customers.

The new PoP in Miami will be used to accommodate the continuously increasing data traffic from Brazil. Among others, this traffic is generated by operators of wind power plants or world market leaders in mechanical engineering, who network their international locations with the respective company headquarters in Germany. The triangular design also significantly improves the network’s resilience, as each of the three cornerstones can easily take over traffic in the event of a network failure. It also reduces data transit time between New York and Miami by a significant eleven milliseconds.

“By working with Neutrona, we can provide diverse, low-latency connectivity along the new network route,” explains Michael Martens. “In conjunction with our newly formed Miami Triangle, this bandwidth update will ensure secure and reliable access for our customers in North and South America.” Michael Martens, CEO of Riedel Networks, and Mateo Ward, CEO of Neutrona Networks, signed the agreement at the Riedel Networks booth during ITW in Atlanta. The major industry conference was attended by more than 7000 participants and 2000 exhibiting companies from 135 countries.

In addition to its network, Riedel Networks is constantly working on expanding its product portfolio.
