As part of the connectivity partnership between RIEDEL Networks and Sportdeutschland.TV, all DEL2 locations will be connected to the RIEDEL Networks backbone. With this connection, the network provider guarantees a dedicated and reliable connection that operates independently of the local public internet. The content of the DEL2 games is transmitted in the highest quality from the venue to the streaming platform Sportdeutschland.TV using an SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) protocol. As the content is transmitted at the venue independently of the local public internet, the risk of network congestion, which typically occurs during events, can be avoided. Should disruptions nevertheless occur, RIEDEL Networks has its own Network Operations Center (NOC), which monitors all connections around the clock and reacts immediately in the event of anomalies. This makes it possible to minimize downtime and seamlessly provide fans at home with live events and on-demand content in front of their screens.
